Best Time to Visit:

APRIL, MAY, SEPTEMBER, OCTOBER (Shoulder Season) The best time to visit. The weather is mild and pleasant, perfect for exploring without the intense heat. You can enjoy shorter wait times and fewer crowds due to fewer tourists. In Spring, the blooming flowers add to the charm, while Fall showcases beautiful colors

JUNE-AUGUST (Peak Season) It is very busy, hot, and humid. July tends to be the hottest month, which can make sightseeing uncomfortable. Additionally, some places may close in August as locals take their vacations during this time

NOVEMBER - MARCH (Off-season). Expect fewer tourists and shorter lines. Hotels and flight prices are generally lower making it more budget friendly. With cooler weather, you can enjoy indoor attractions (museums and galleries). Note, that the weather maybe chilly and rainy

GALLERIA DORIA-PAMPHILJ: Step into one of Rome’s hidden gems, often called a mini Versailles. It's a stunning gallery with luxurious 18th-century rooms that are filled with incredible collections of statues, paintings, and antiques. If you want to have it all almost all to yourself, visit 1 hour before closing.


VILLA BORGHESE GARDENS: Rome’s most famous gardens, often called the 'green lung' of the city, are located near the Spanish Steps. Relax by the fountains, explore the Borghese Gallery, or simply enjoy the peaceful surroundings. Both the gardens and villa are free to enter.

LOOK IN THE MAGIC MIRROR of Chiesa di Sant'lgnazio di Loyola: this church is famous for its breathtaking ceiling painted by Andrea Pozzo. This Baroque masterpiece from the late 17th century creates the illusion of an open sky extending beyond the architecture itself.  In the center, a special mirror is cleverly placed, allowing you to see the perfect view of the illusion where rays of light and figures stretch across the ceiling - bringing the art to life. There is usually a line, however, if you go late in the evening, there is none.


VISIT THE PYRAMID of ROME: The Pyramid of Caius Cestius is a unique and often overlooked landmark. Built between 18 and 12 BC as a tomb, it blends Roman and Egyptian styles. Located near the Aurelian Walls, it a quiet spot where you can appreciate its history and admire one of the city’s more unexpected monuments.

  • Borghiciana Pastificio Artigianale (Vatican):  This intimate restaurant, with just 7 tables, is known for its exceptional handcrafted pasta. Getting Around Rome:

Navigating Rome is easy with a tons of transportation options! The city is highly walkable, especially in the historic center, but you can also hop on the metro, buses, or trams for longer distances. Taxis and ride-sharing services are available, but if you're looking for a more local experience, renting a Vespa or bike adds a fun twist to your adventure.


Getting to/from FCO Airport:

Here are some options to help you navigate your way from the airport . ​


TRAIN: The Leonardo Express train is the fastest and most convenient way to reach the city center, taking about 30 minutes to Termini Station. cost: €14 express and €8 local. Click here for tickets and schedules

S.I.T. Airport Bus: Pre-book your ticket for €7, but expect to pay more if you buy at the gate. Click here for SIT website

Cotral Night Bus: Ideal for early morning or late-night travel when trains and other buses aren’t running. It operates between Tiburtina and Termini stations. Tickets are €7 on the bus or just €5 if purchased in advance. Click here for Cotral website

PRIVATE TAXI or Uber: The most convenient but also the most expensive option. Expect to pay between €50-€100 depending on your destination. Transfer option
