It’s one of the prettiest spots in town for views. It’s one of the best places to capture the essence of Positano.
For the best time to take photos, I recommend coming here early in the morning when the beach is much quieter. You can also visit during the golden hour for the best lighting; however, it will be crowded. But, no matter when you go, Marina Grande is one of the best photo spots to showcase Positano’s charm and coastal beauty!
2 – VIALE PASITEA CLIFFSIDE VIEW

Viale Pasitea is one of Positano’s main roads that has stunning cliffside viewpoints with breathtaking views of the Mediterranean Sea and the Amalfi Coast. This particular spot is located at Viale Pasitea 126, near Boutique Castellano, and it is perfect for capturing the best pictures and videos of Positano’s iconic pastel-colored houses stacked along the cliffs.
If you want the place to yourself, visit early in the morning to avoid the crowds. Just be mindful that Viale Pasitea is a busy road, so stay aware of passing traffic while taking pictures.
Also, while you’re here, take some time to explore the area! Viale Pasitea has tons of charming shops, cozy cafés, and fantastic restaurants – a great place to have lunch, grab a drink, or pick up a unique souvenir.

Franco’s Bar is one of the most famous hotspots in Positano; thanks to social media, it is known for its stylish and upscale atmosphere, beautiful views, and craft cocktails. Franco’s opens at 4 PM and doesn’t take reservations. If you want one of the front-row seats overlooking the sea, be sure to arrive right at opening. Just keep in mind that prime seating comes with a €40 minimum spend per person.

A trip to Positano wouldn’t be complete without stopping by its famous and picturesque fruit stand! Situated along the cliffside just south of town before reaching Praiano, this spot isn’t just about fresh fruit—it’s one of the most photogenic places with breathtaking views of Positano.
But what truly makes it special is the charming Italian owner, who turns every visit into an experience. He’s hilarious, grabbed our phone, shared a photo tip, and even directed us into fun poses, making sure we captured the perfect shot!

Right next to the famous Positano fruit stand, this roadside spot offers stunning views of the ocean and mountains. Located along one of Positano’s main roads, it’s the perfect place to stop for beautiful photos—whether you’re walking or driving in a vintage car. Be sure to snap a few shots here before or after visiting the fruit stand!

Another incredible viewpoint from which to take in the breathtaking beauty of Positano is Hotel Poseidon. If you are not staying at the hotel, don’t worry; right next door is a large terrace that is right next to the entrance, where you’ll get a front-row seat to the famous colorful houses stacked on the hillsides.
This is one of the best spots that offers panoramic views that will leave you speechless—perfect for capturing the charm of Positano in all its glory.

This iconic beachfront restaurant, famous for its heart-shaped pasta and seafood dishes, offers a perfect mix of delicious food and picture-perfect aesthetics. With its charming nautical décor, fun atmosphere, and prime location along Spiaggia Grande, it’s the ideal spot to capture that classic Positano dining experience.
Chez Black is also popular on social media and is considered to be one of the most Instagrammable places in Positano.

11 – V165 VIALE PASITEA (BY HOTEL POSA POSA)

This is another great spot for photos, located right by Hotel Posa Posa along Positano‘s main road. With breathtaking views of the sea and the rugged Amalfi Coast, it’s set against the mountainside, making it perfect for capturing Positano’s iconic cliffs.
Because it’s centrally located, this makes it a convenient and scenic stop as you explore the town. Plus, with such a stunning backdrop, it’s an incredibly photogenic spot that perfectly showcases Positano’s charm.

12 – VIA CRISTOFORO COLOMBO VIEWPOINT

If you prefer to see coastline views from higher up, then you can’t miss the Via Cristoforo Colombo Viewpoint! You’ll see beautiful views of Positano from above, stretching all the way to Amalfi, Ravello, and Vietri sul Mare. The perspective from up here is simply stunning—it’s the kind of view that will leave you speechless.
13 – THE FAMOUS POSITANO CERAMIC TERRACE

This is probably one of the most Instagrammable places and best photo spots you’ll find in Positano while looking through your Instagram feed. The colorful ceramic shop is located on a terrace overlooking the hills of Positano’s vibrant houses. This charming rooftop is decorated with bright ceramic plates and vases, making it a picture-perfect stop as you explore the town. It’s a spot where everyone pretty much stops as they explore the town.
The best way to spot it is while walking up the main road from the beach, where you’ll also pass plenty of beautiful ceramic shops, clothing boutiques, and souvenir stores.

14 – ADAMO ED EVA RESTAURANT


Adamo ed Eva Restaurant, located within the Hotel Eden Roc in Positano, offers a truly unforgettable experience with both delicious Mediterranean cuisine and breathtaking panoramic views of the coastline.
The restaurant has two terraces, each providing a unique perspective of Positano’s iconic cliffs and the sparkling blue sea. Whether you’re enjoying the food or simply taking in the amazing views, it’s the perfect spot to relax and enjoy one of the most picturesque settings in Positano.
With such incredible views, especially at sunset, it’s an ideal place to snap some of the best photos of the Amalfi Coast.
15 – VIA TRARA GENOINO

This spot feels like a little hidden gem, to get here, take the stairs that lead from the upper part of Positano, starting at Viale Pasitea, down to the main beach. Just past Casa Cosenza and a few steps down, you’ll find a quiet spot with an incredible view of Positano’s iconic stacked houses. Since it’s off the main path, it’s usually not too crowded—perfect for capturing a beautiful photo without the hustle and bustle!
BEYOND POSITANO
16 – TERRACE OF INFINITY AT VILLA CIMBRONE

Even though this isn’t in Positano, I really think you should add it to your list. The Terrace of Infinity at Villa Cimbrone in Ravello has some of the most beautiful views I’ve ever seen. The terrace, called Terrazza dell’Infinito, overlooks the Mediterranean Sea and the cliffs, and it’s one of the best spots for photos.
The views here look almost unreal, and the terrace really feels like it goes on forever. You’ll probably recognize it from Instagram, because it’s a popular photo spot.
If you want to enjoy this place without the crowds, I recommend getting there right when Villa Cimbrone opens at 9 am. The entrance fee is €10, but as soon as you step onto the terrace, you’ll see why it’s worth it.
The villa also has beautiful gardens and a nice café, so you can easily spend a few hours here exploring, relaxing, and taking in the views.
